We are expecting this placement to last 2 months however it may change due to service needs.
What you'll be responsible for:
Provide quality assurance to support the delivery, organization, and audit of speciality training programmes
Provide administrative support to the Head of Medical Education in respect of speciality training programmes and lead employer trainees including (but not limited to) maintaining databases, collating information, and delivery &evaluation of teaching.
Assemble & Co-ordinate the GPST out of hours rota, ensuring all participants have had adequate induction before working out of hours.
Co-ordinate and evaluate the Trust and specialty induction programmes in July/August, December, February and April enduring that these comply with deanery and Trust requirements.
Be first point of contact for day-to-day matters relating to Lead Employer trainees' postgraduate education within the department, escalating to the HoME when necessary.
Provide data and / or reports as required by the HoME for the Trainee Medical Education Committee, preparing action plans and progress reports in a timely manner when required.
Be responsible for maintaining records of teaching attendance escalate any concerns.
Work collaboratively with the other members of the department and the Medical Education Manager to maintain n efficient service in the office, especially in times of absence, i.e. annual leave and sickness leave and providing assistance in times of particular pressure in any area
To maintain confidentiality at all times in accordance with the NHS and professional codes.
To undertake any additional duties in accordance with the grade and nature of the post
Be the first point of contact for all Study Leave queries with responsibility for the Tracker2 electronic study leave system, processing applications and pulling off system reports required.
You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You'll have the following skills/experience:
Previous NHS experience
3-years' experience in an administrative role
Experience' of team working
Minute taking
Excellent organisational skills
Computer literate with sound working knowledge of Microsoft office including Excel
Flexibility of working hours
Ability to communicate clearly & confidently both in verbal and written communication to all levels of staff
Experience of working independently
Ability to multi-task and manage own workload, reprioritising regular to ensure deadlines are met.
