Powder Coat Operative

Northern Neon Lights is a well-established UK manufacturer with over 50 year's experience helping companies develop their ideas into working solutions. All product produced in house over our extensive manufacturing facility based near Blackpool.
We looking to recruit a reliable and motivated Powder Coat Operative to join our team and work on our manual powder coat line designed for bulk production and one off prototypes. The role is ideal for someone with previous experience in a fabrication or production environment, who has a strong work ethic and takes pride delivering high quality results
This is a hands on role working to high standards of quality, safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Paint Line Operative you would need to prepare parts for powder coating, including Blasting, de-greasing, cleaning, masking, and hanging parts on a track. Assist in loading and unloading parts from the coating booths or oven and packing finished product. Maintain a clean and organised work area, including cleaning tools and equipment. Monitor and maintain supplies such as masking materials, cleaning agents, and other necessary items. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Help in inspecting coated parts for quality and assist in reworking any defective items. Perform general labouring tasks as needed to support production operations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in powder coating or metal Pre-Treatment would be beneficial Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. As a Powder Coat Operator a good physical stamina is required, as the role involves standing, lifting, and moving parts throughout the day. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Team player with strong communication skills. Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities. A Driving licence would be preferable.
