This is a

consultancy-based position

, requiring on-site presence at the client's premises 2-3 days per week (Aztec West, Bristol).


We are currently seeking a

Power Cable List Management Engineer / Consultant

to join our expanding UK team and support our client on the Hinkley Point and Sizewell C nuclear projects.

What You'll Be Doing:




As a Power Cable List Management Engineer, you will act as a central point of contact for system(s) or electrical activities related to calculations and documentation within a defined scope. Your responsibilities will include supporting the HPC project by achieving the following objectives:

Consolidate and verify the consistency of input data used for cabling activities Assess the maturity of input data provided by system engineers, equipment contractors, I&C engineers, and cabling engineers Produce all necessary documents for cable list development, including the voltage plan, summary tables, and associated calculation notes Develop documentation for the electrical sub-distribution sequence Oversee the production of design office deliverables, ensuring alignment with the client's quality management system Draft deliverables for the client to serve as input for site activities Identify, track, and resolve open points, design changes, and interface issues to maintain visibility over the progress and maturity of the activity, ensuring full traceability and configuration management Provide regular reporting and performance indicators to the project team and client for the assigned scope Represent the client in technical discussions with the client concerning your scope of work Monitor and manage interfaces with cable lists produced by contract holders Ensure design consistency for electrical penetrations and cable routing

Profile




We'd love to hear from you if you have the following qualifications and experience:

A degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or an equivalent qualification) Knowledge of EPR electrical cabling sequences Experience in producing design documentation Working knowledge of electrical cable sizing principles Relevant experience in the nuclear industry Strong ability to manage your own workload, deliver high-quality documentation, and meet deadlines A proactive approach to building positive working relationships within project teams Familiarity with EPR electrical distribution design principles, Instrumentation & Control architecture, and Safety Classification Proficiency with the Caneco software tool Experience working on an operational plant or industrial site
