Job description
The Power Platform Specialist is a hands-on technical position within The Pensions Regulator's DDaT Directorate, reporting to the Head of Data Science and Engineering. The specialist leads the design, development, and implementation of Power Platform solutions--primarily Power Automate, with support for Power BI and Power Apps--to streamline business processes, enhance data integration, and improve reporting. Key responsibilities include supporting the establishment of a Centre of Excellence, collaborating across teams to identify automation opportunities, and ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and compliant.
The role requires strong expertise in Power Automate, working knowledge of Power BI and Power Apps, experience with Microsoft 365, Dataverse, D365, and agile methodologies. The specialist is accountable for delivering robust automation solutions, contributing to strategic digital transformation, and supporting a community of practice around Power Platform and D365.

Lead the identification and resolution of automation challenges across TPR, often involving legacy systems and manual processes.

Contribute to the strategic direction of automation and digital transformation within TPR.
Own and manage decisions on tooling, architecture, and development standards within the Power Platform domain.

Contribute to reporting and performance metrics for automation initiatives.
