Role Description:
We are seeking experienced Control System Developers with strong Simulink model-based development skills to support Vehicle Supervisory Controller (VSC) feature development. The role involves designing, developing, and enhancing control algorithms for Thermal Management, Energy Management, Torque Control and Driver Mode functionalities on hybrid and electric vehicles.
The responsibilities include designing, developing, and implementing control systems, troubleshooting technical challenges, and applying systems engineering principles to deliver high-performance solutions. The role involves working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration, testing, and optimization of automotive systems.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and enhance VSC control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow
Implement features for
Thermal management
Energy management
Torque distribution
Driver mode logic
Support model integration, virtual validation and MIL/SIL testing
Work closely with system engineers, calibrators, and feature owners
Ensure software aligns with system requirements and safety principles
Participate in reviews and provide technical recommendations
Support debugging and issue resolution on rigs and occasionally in vehicles
Required Skills:
Proficiency in Control Systems design, AUTOSAR, Automotive V -model and ASPICE methodologies.
3-5 years in automotive control systems development
A strong foundation in Electrical Engineering principles
Expertise in Systems Engineering and requirements management
Capabilities in Troubleshooting issues and debugging control systems effectively using Canoe, INCA etc
Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and technical communication skills
Experience with automotive control systems is a must.
Educational background in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field, such as a Bachelor's or Master's degree
Preferred:
Experience in BEV/HEV platforms
Experience with VSC, energy flow models, vehicle dynamics, CAN/LIN/FlexRay
Experience with CAPL, MATLAB scripts, Python, C/C++ or automation frameworks would be advantageous.
