The role: We're looking for a PR Assistant or Executive, on a 15 month fixed-term basis, to join our external communications team and support PR activity across the Ampa Group- covering our existing brands and any new ones that may join our in the future. We are also open to considering candidates on a part-time basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who's keen to learn and happy to take direction, but who also brings their own ideas to the table. You'll be writing press releases, thought leadership pieces, and media comments that help raise the profile of our brands and the brilliant people behind them. You'll need to be comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team on bigger campaigns. We're after someone who's proactive, creative, and always looking for ways to improve what we do. Someone who gets why it's important to measure results--and who can take complex or technical topics and turn them into clear, engaging content that earns coverage. Key Responsibilities
Work with wider marketing team on campaign activity crossing PR, content, events, marketing and internal communications
Research, write and issue press releases, thought leadership articles and comment pieces, with support
Proactively monitor relevant breaking news stories for comment opportunities
Support with data analysis and data gathering for PR activity
Maintain and update media lists
Monitor media coverage and keep clippings log up to date
Circulate coverage with supporting social media posts to fee earning groups across the group
Write case studies for brand websites
Support in the production of content for back link strategy
Be an advocate for PR and wider marketing team
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
At least one year's experience working in a PR agency or in-house PR role
Keen eye for a news hook and ability to ask the right questions to draw out a story
Experienced in media liaison including pitching press releases, thought leadership and rapid-response comments
Experienced in managing media lists and press release distribution (specific experience with Cision - desired)
Experienced in PR reporting and measuring PR success
Excellent written communication across a range of platforms including press, marketing collateral, SEO, social media
Experienced in data analysis and data gathering for PR activity, such as FOIs and surveys
Experience working in professional services sector (desired)
Experience in developing social media posts and content
A genuine passion for PR
Comfortable receiving constructive feedback
Approachable and confident working and communicating with senior stakeholders
Proactive - finding the stories within our business
