Job Title: PR & Communications Manager
Location: Aylesford (Hybrid - Office & Home-Based)
Salary: Competitive, DOE
Hours: Full-time | Mon-Thurs: 9am-5.30pm (45 mins lunch), Fri: 9am-4pm (1hr lunch)Make an Impact Where It Matters MostWe're looking for a talented PR & Communications Manager to join our client's Marketing team at their Aylesford Head Office. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping how a respected UK charity communicates its impact, connects with stakeholders, and strengthens its national reputation.As PR & Communications Manager, you'll lead on all external PR activity and internal communication strategy-ensuring that powerful stories, key achievements, and critical messages reach the right people, at the right time, in the right way.What You'll Be Doing:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive PR plans for all areas of the charity.
  • Build and maintain media relationships; respond to media enquiries and identify proactive press opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Chief Executive to deliver strategic, engaging comms for staff, residents, beneficiaries and stakeholders.
  • Proactively source and develop case studies to bring the charity's work to life.
  • Produce compelling content including press releases, articles, photography and video.
  • Lead the creation of the organisation's Annual Social Impact Report and monthly newsletter.
  • Drive brand awareness and reputation through effective storytelling, message consistency, and alignment with the charity's objectives.
  • Manage agency involvement where required and monitor relevant KPIs to assess PR success.
What We're Looking For:Essential:
  • A degree in communications, media, journalism or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar PR/comms role.
  • Proven track record of securing both local and national media coverage.
  • Strong digital PR knowledge and understanding of its connection to SEO.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and beneficiaries.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines with a proactive, strategic mindset.
Desirable:
  • Previous experience within the charity sector.
  • Understanding of impact reporting and charity branding.
