Morson Talent are hunting for a Marketing/PR professional to join our client, that is well-known in it\'s industry, as a PR & Content Executive on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Marketing Manager and working alongside a small marketing function, the purpose of the role is to lead the PR strategy to engage consumers through creative storytelling and increase traffic but also brand awareness.

Being able to manage and influence multiple stakeholders will be key to this role, as will the ability identify a good story and translate into clear and concise copy, relevant to different audiences. An ability to interpret analytics is important in order to contribute to tactical and strategic planning and reporting. To succeed in this role you will need to be naturally curious, a fantastic writer and be passionate about storytelling.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to an effective marketing plan and develop a content plan which meets the objectives of the business and its key components, seeking to achieve high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media.
  • Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within industry media
  • Source and write press releases, newsletters, blogs, and other digital and print materials, that will resonate with the target markets
  • Keep the website relevant through constantly fresh and current content to include news stories, case studies, etc
  • Use marketplace insights to develop written and visual marketing content that engages existing and potential customers
  • Develop and manage an annual content calendar
  • Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice
  • Working with the Digital Content Creator, devise and implement a social media strategy for the business
  • Respond to messages, comments, and mentions on all platforms
Skills & Experience:
  • Experience in journalism or PR would be hugely valuable, as would experience in writing for a range of other channels and media from leaflets and brochures to blogs and banners.
  • Ability to write high quality content - outstanding written skills and story-telling capability
  • Proven track record of designing and executing successful public relations campaigns
  • Proficiency in creating, editing, and promoting written and digital content
  • Ability to develop content consistent with the Company\'s brand voice, style and tone
  • Ability to interpret industry information and translate it to simple, effective communications
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent working knowledge of all social media channels
  • Ability to create content and deliver it through traditional and digital formats including video
  • Relevant qualification in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in public relations/corporate or internal communications/content management or similar ideally in B2B environment
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite preferable
  • Experience in leisure, retail or tourism sector would be a benefit, but not essential
