We are seeking an organised and proactive PR Coordinator to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing and enhancing Britten-Norman's public image by creating compelling content, building strong media relationships, and securing coverage across various channels. This role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure, and a keen eye for detail. The PR Coordinator will also work across social media engagement and internal communications, contributing to a consistent and positive brand presence

Key Responsibilities





Develop and distribute press releases. Act as the first point of contact for all press enquiries. Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers to secure media coverage. Manage crisis communication efforts. Contribute to the planning and execution of events.

Social Media Management

Manage Britten-Norman's presence across all social channels. Create, curate, and schedule content to strengthen the brand and engage with audiences. Balance traditional PR efforts with digital engagement, ensuring content is both informative and engaging.

Internal and External Communications


Write weekly internal communications and maintain the News section of the company intranet. Collaborate with Customer Support department to develop and distribute regular customer newsletters.

Reporting

Monitor and track media mentions and analyse the effectiveness of PR campaigns. Provide regular reports on PR activities and media coverage.

Team Collaboration

Work closely with the Marketing Manager to align PR efforts with broader marketing strategies and objectives. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and alignment across all company activities.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise





5 GCSEs Grade C/4+ incl. Maths / English Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a PR role, including press release writing, managing media relations and reporting Experience managing social media channels and creating engaging content that aligns with brand messaging Experience of creating internal and external company communication to a regular schedule Demonstrated experience in communicating consistent brand messaging across a range of channels. Experience working in a small, fast-paced team. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey information, internally and externally at all levels. Strong creative ability to develop and produce engaging content across various digital and social media platforms. Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Ability to achieve UK Security clearance
