Job Description

The English Schools' FA is seeking an experienced leader and practitioner to act as our PR, Marketing and Comms Manager in its small team of staff based at our HQ in Stafford.

The successful candidate will have these skills, along with the knowledge and experience to manage and develop the Association's PR profile; to support the creation and maintenance of partnerships; to support the commercialisation of the Association, and to ensure its communications are highly effective.

Primary purpose of role:



To lead on implementation of the Association's PR, Marketing and Communications Strategy

Main responsibilities:



To manage and develop the Association's PR profile; to support the creation and maintenance of partnerships; to support the commercialisation of the Association and to ensure its communications are highly effective.

To contribute to the development of the Association's PR, Marketing and Communications strategies,; To lead on implementation of the approved strategy; To report regularly to Trustees on the progress of the strategy; To support the Association's income diversification plans; To support the Commercial Director to secure new sponsors, and to lead on activation; To ensure that all ESFA events are designed and implemented to the highest standards; To ensure that the work of our Members is celebrated; To support Council to publicise the international programme; To ensure that the PR, marketing and comms requirements of all sponsors and partners are delivered to a high standard; To support the Trustees and Council to deliver a fit for purpose, current and timely communication programme for membership; To ensure high levels of social media coverage are achieved for all key Association activities; To supervise the development plan for and day to day operations of the team; To ensure that children are at the heart of decision making; To fulfil the financial responsibilities of the role as prescribed in the Financial Regulations; To participate in training, development and appraisal processes necessary to fulfil the role; To support the ESFA Council to fulfil its responsibilities; To act with high standards of professionalism, business integrity and personal conduct at all times; To act as an ambassador for the ESFA in the conduct of all business; To comply with the requirements of the staff handbook; To comply with the Association's safeguarding requirements and to contribute to the delivery of the ESFA's safeguarding plans; To use best endeavours to support others in the achievement of their objectives; To conduct any other duties as may reasonably be required by the employer.

Special considerations in this role:



The role requires evening and weekend work throughout the year, for which the post holder will be entitled to time off in lieu.

The role may be subject to enhanced DBS check.
