Overview:
Reporting to the Head of PR - UK, The PR & VIP Coordinator role will assist the PR team in delivering the day-to-day UK PR strategy, working with Press and VIP stylists as well as licencing categories including kids and eyewear, and delivering day-to-day tasks that are essential in the smooth running and organisation of these busy departments.
This includes managing sample requests and pushing to ensure steady increase of editorial coverage across all categories, working with HQ and the 4 global PR offices on their daily sample requests, checking for daily coverage and coverage reporting, managing sample send outs and returns, upkeep of PR database and other office management activities such as but limited to expenses and magazine archiving.
Your Mission:
Working closely with the Head of PR and wider PR team to support the UK PR strategy, with specific focus on increasing the editorial coverage across all categories, making sure it's aligned with new launches, key product pushes as defined by the marketing calendar and seasonal trends
Working with HQ and the 4 global PR offices on their daily sample requests
Managing the office sample send outs and returns for both licencing and RTW
Assisting with samples for internal shoots and ecom shoots
Monitoring and tracking press coverage by reading papers, magazines and websites daily
Keeping global best of press folders up to date and coordinate with Social Media team on 'best of press' moments in line with social pushes
Working closely with, and nurturing, press contacts to ensure quality and quantity press coverage
Event coordination - Working with the Sample manager and Head of PR in the execution of PR events, including fashion show preparations and Press Day organisation where relevant
Maintaining the contacts database both locally and globally
General office maintenance and management
Act as an ambassador for the brand, representing the Stella McCartney values
Active interest in the wider fashion industry, including strong interest in sustainability and innovation within the industry
Upkeep of the showroom, making sure it is well presented at all times
Collating dressing decks with available looks for Stella's appearance and VIP dressing
Your Talent:
Experience in a PR role (preferably luxury fashion, agency and/ or in-house)
Experience in successfully pitching news stories is ideal but not necessary
Excellent organisation skills, able to multi-task and work to deadlines
Solutions-oriented and shows initiative
Ability/experience in managing an intern
Understanding of the wider fashion industry, including the social media, influencers and VIP landscape
Excellent professional communication and writing skills
In depth Fashion GPS/Launchmetrics knowledge is ideal
Experience working on the Microsoft Office suite
