Robert Half are searching for an Accounts Practice Accountant based near Bournemouth on a temporary basis for up to 6 months.
As Practice Accountant you will be skilled and experienced within practice and available now to join a well-respected accounting practice based near Bournemouth.
Open to both part time or full time hours.
This is a temporary role, ideal for someone with a strong background in small practice environments.
Open to candidates who are either fully qualified or qualified by experience (QBE).
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships in line with relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
Ensure accurate and timely production of financial statements and management accounts.
Liaise with clients to gather documentation, resolve queries, and provide exceptional service.
Assist with general accounting duties and support the wider team where required.
Stay up to date with the latest accounting standards and practices.
Requirements: Previous experience working within a small or medium-sized accountancy practice is essential.
Strong knowledge of accounts preparation for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
Competence in using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to meet deadlines effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships with clients. AAT, ACCA, ACA qualified (or equivalent) preferred, but QBE candidates with substantial experience will also be considered. Flexibility to work independently and collaboratively within a small team environment.
