We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and supporting the junior accountants. Duties
Prepare, examine, and analyse financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with organisational policies.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate general ledger entries.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Ensure adherence to relevant financial regulations and standards.
Mentor junior team members or interns where applicable, fostering professional development within the department.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
Proven experience in financial accounting or related roles within the financial services sector.
Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage cloud, Xero, PeopleSoft, or equivalent platforms.
Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices.
Experience with accounts payable processes and general ledger management.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Demonstrated ability to mentor or support colleagues in a team environment.
Relevant qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent are essential.
