An opportunity has arisen within the TaxAssist Support Centre for a Practice Development & Learning Manager to join our expanding team based in Norwich on the Broadland Business Park.

Then the Operations Department of TaxAssist Accountants would like to speak with you.

We are looking to expand the Departments and need your skills to continue our work around three core areas with our network:

Core areas



Improving profitability

Driving up sales through better pricing and sales techniques, identifying cross-selling and upselling opportunities, improved margins through strong processes, adoption of technology and automation and the sharing of best practice.

Client centric

Giving clients outstanding service and the tools and information they need to achieve their goals.

Shared success

Empowering staff within the network to achieve their potential.
You'll play a pivotal role in supporting the leadership of our Training Academy--an exciting opportunity to help shape the learning journey of our network and make a real impact on how we grow, develop, and empower our people.

With support from our Technical team, you'll identify training needs and bring them to life by coordinating impactful courses with internal experts and trusted external partners. You'll be the driving force behind our Technical Update Days, ensuring they're relevant, well-attended, and continuously improved through feedback.

From managing the training budget to developing fresh content and delivering sessions yourself, you'll play a hands-on role in empowering franchisees and their teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES



TATA:



With the support of Technical, identify training needs in the network

Co-ordinate courses with external suppliers/ Support Centre staff

Arrange Technical Update Days, liaising internally and externally with suppliers and monitoring feedback.

With the support of Technical, maintain relations with the institutes, encouraging qualifications and overcoming practising certificate issues

Plan and co-ordinate the year ahead training programme

Managing existing TATA courses, adding new courses, monitoring attendance and publishing Prospectus.

Help manage TATA budget.

Assist Inbound with vetting of leads and provide training where required

Develop and write training materials

Deliver training to franchisees and staff

Practice Capabilities:



Creating and responding to tickets Creating and maintaining relevant content on the Support Site and Weekly Email such as user guides and best practice processes Design, deliver and maintain training on software features and functionality; making sure it's wrapped around our best practice processes Identifying areas for improvement within the software stack or our best practice processes Developing and maintaining a working knowledge of our areas of the software stack Actively promoting our areas of the software stack Proactively seeking the resolution of reported issues Maintain ongoing relationships with software partners Being an escalation point for Tickets from the network Support with account management for software houses, outsourcers and others determined by HOGPC Actively promote Resourcing by TaxAssist + other outsourcers Actively promote our software stack Designing and maintaining our best practices and processes Liaising with other Teams, in particular Technical, FDMs Supporting the team with their Responsibilities

PERSON SPECIFICATION & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS



Technology plays a huge part in an efficiently run accountancy practice, and our core current tech stack currently consists of TaxCalc, Dext, Ignition, Xero and Quickbooks Online. Experience with these products is handy, but not essential. Training will be provided, and it's about the function these products perform; rather than a detailed working knowledge of them.

The two key attributes we need in this role are a strong practice background and having the right personality. We need someone that is a good fit with our small teams and can liaise effectively with our franchisees and their staff.

You're a born trouble-shooter, and take a lean and practical approach. You'll have some commercial awareness and the ability to see the bigger picture.

Sometimes you'll work alone, sometimes within the team, sometimes with the wider TaxAssist teams, and always have your managers Jo Nockels and Samantha Skying to support. You'll enjoy collaborating with other teams when a project requires it.

Qualifications



A strong background in accountancy - minimum of 5 years in practice

ACA or ACCA qualified or QBE

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 40,000.00-55,000.00 per year
