Stagenhoe is a Brainkind specialist neurological care centre based in Hertfordshire, caring for people aged 18 and over a range of neurological conditions. At Stagenhoe, we provide the care people need to optimise their health and wellbeing, maximise their independence and support their emotional and social needs.

Our assessment centres, rehabilitation units and hospitals use expert neurorehabilitation to support and help improve the lives of people with a neurological condition or brain injury.



MAIN PURPOSE:



To develop and support the education and training needs of the clinical healthcare workforce.

To contribute towards the delivery of the strategic aims and objectives set out in the organisational Clinical Education Strategy and Framework at the designated Service.

To demonstrate clinical expertise and credibility in clinical practice by being a role model at all times.



MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



Responsible to support the development of learners on various educational & training programmes to achieve and maintain an excellent standard of clinical practice in accordance with national and professional standards Having a key role in assessing training needs, planning, delivering and evaluating education and training programmes Responsible for the identifying, planning, delivery and evaluation of education and training programmes for the services Clinical Healthcare Workforce To ensure all education and training is quality assured, accurately monitored and recorded in accordance with policy Responsible for collating the services annual training needs analysis based on the outcome of annual appraisal reviews identified training requirements Provide a range of educational approaches and learning events, including; face to face- classroom, virtual, clinical and competency assessment, e-learning and blended learning To ensure clinical induction and orientation programmes are delivered and evaluated as per the corporate clinical induction procedures and/or processes To work in a supernumerary role to support and develop new and existing registered, unregistered healthcare staff and volunteers To support the Senior Leadership Team to deliver the Quality Improvement Plan by using Datix incident analysis to continuously improve the reporting process and deliver appropriate education and training to prevent recurrence where appropriate To participate in the development of policies and guidelines within the service To support the delivery of any research being carried out in the centre and across the organisation to promote evidence-based practice and quality service delivery

ABOUT YOU:



Educated to degree level (level 6 or working towards) Registered Clinical Professional (registered with NMC, HCPC) Evidence of Practice Supervisor/Practice Assessor training Evidence of continuous professional development Experience in a clinical role in specialist healthcare Working knowledge of training needs analysis, planning and facilitation of adult based learning, mandatory and priority training requirements, different learning styles and application in delivering education and training Working knowledge of clinical assessment skills for clinical non-registered and registered staff Working knowledge of evidence-based practice Knowledge of current national agenda for health and social care, specifically in relation to the development of specialist palliative care services Skilled in coaching and supporting staff and volunteers, appraisals, inductions, mentoring and preceptorship
