Role Overview
The Practice Manager is responsible for driving positive, high standard care
practices across services. You will ensure compliance with regulatory
requirements, lead quality audits, supervise staff, and support the Clinical Lead
in maintaining and improving service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate daily operations during assigned shifts, promoting person-centred, safe, and effective care
Participate in the on-call rota (additional pay applies) to provide out-of-hours support and decision making
Undertake regular one-to-one supervisions and performance reviews with care staff
Plan, conduct, and report on internal audits (quality, health & safety, documentation)
Monitor compliance with CQC, Ofsted, GDPR, and all relevant legislation and guidance
Collaborate with the Clinical Lead on service improvement projects, training initiatives, and policy updates
Maintain accurate records, including duty logs, incident reports, and compliance checklists
Escalate risks or non conformities promptly and coordinate corrective actions
Cover any other reasonable tasks to meet the needs of the service
Person Specification
Qualifications and Experience
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management or prepared to work towards
Proven experience in a supervisory or management role (desirable)
Solid understanding of CQC and Ofsted regulatory frameworks (desirable)
Demonstrable track record of conducting audits and driving quality improvements
Skills and Attributes
Strong leadership with the ability to motivate and develop teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and record-keeping ability
Proficient in Microsoft Office and care-management software
Resilient under pressure and confident in out-of-hours decision-making
Flexible and collaborative approach, willing to step in where needed
