Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Practice Manager to join our dental practice. As a Practice Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the practice, managing financials, and ensuring the highest level of care for our patients. If you have a strong background in dental practice management and are passionate about providing excellent service, we would love to hear from you. This job is to replace our current practice manager who is going on maternity leave, but will not be returning to this role. Full training to be given by the current practice manager

N.B this is a permanent position, not maternity cover

1. Organising, monitoring staff rotas including absences and overtime
2. Assisting in staff recruitment and staff performance monitoring
3. Organising holidays rotas and monitoring annual leave for all staff members
4. Organising covers for absent members of the staff
5. Monitoring invoices, paying invoices
6. Calculating and paying staff wages, issuing payslips and employment related forms
7. Calculating pay and paying self employed members of the staff
8. Monitoring Membership plan and payments
9. KPI monitoring
10. Preparing and keeping up to date policies and procedures to assure practice compliance with all relevant regulations, including but not restricted to NHS, CQC, ICO etc
11. Organising in-house courses
12. Monitoring marketing activities
13. Occasional receptionist duties
14. Holding monthly meetings

Duties:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the dental practice
- Oversee financial management, including budgeting, billing, and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain accurate records
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and quality of care
- Supervise and train staff members and support apprentices
- Coordinate scheduling and staffing to ensure adequate coverage
- Handle patient inquiries, complaints, and concerns in a professional manner
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
- Collaborate with the dental team to develop and implement marketing strategies

Experience:
- Previous experience in dental practice management is preferred
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and financial reporting
- Knowledge of human resources practices, including hiring, training, and performance management
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience using Xero accounting / payroll would be advantageous

Hours - 40 hours per week (to be discussed)
