The practice nurse will work as part of the primary healthcare team providing General Medical Services to the patients of practice. Duties Deliver exceptional patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care plans. Conduct health assessments and screenings, including taking vital signs and performing routine tests. Administer vaccinations and injections as per protocols.
Assist in minor surgical procedures and provide pre-and post-operative care. Educate patients on health management, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Maintain Infection control procedures and run audits on infection control as per practice policy.
Participate in QOF activities and help achieve annual targets timely. Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Participate in continuous professional development to enhance nursing skills and knowledge. Skills Strong knowledge of patient care practices and procedures.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues. Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and patient care. Empathy and compassion towards patients, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times.
