Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team. We are located in Roslin, Midlothian, just a short commute from Edinburgh, serving a diverse patient population of around 8400.

We are a forward thinking and evolving practice, continually striving to make a difference for our patients. We have a clinical team of 2 GP partners and 6 salaried GPs, along with two Practice Nurses. This is backed up by a team of 4 CTAC nurses, physiotherapists and pharmacists. We also have an office team of 10, who help to coordinate admin and patient queries.

The practice works together as a team and is committed to being an excellent place to work. We all sit down most mornings to have a tea or coffee together and there are always plenty of chocolate biscuits!

The practice systems we use are Vision and Docman.

About the Role

This is a permanent position offering 24-32 hours per week (to be discussed upon appointment). The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality nursing care, including chronic disease management, cervical screening and the promotion of better health of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

Manage long-term conditions such as diabetes, asthma, and hypertension Provide cervical screening and sexual health services Deliver lifestyle advice and health promotion Support emergency care and contribute to clinical audits Work collaboratively with the wider practice team
About You

Essential:

Registered with the NMC

2 years post registration experience in a General Practice setting

Desirable:

Cervical Screening experience

Management of respiratory conditions

Diabetes management
