Job Description

We are a friendly, very busy Town Centre Practice. We are looking for a part time Practice Nurse, you would need Treatment Room experience ideally with some Primary Care experience, chronic disease would be desirable but not essential. We have a have a branch site in Durrington and would need you to be able to work at both sites. We have around 14000 patients, and are looking for someone driven and motivated to join our team.

Duties to include some of the below;

Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by senior nursing staff and GPs Cytology Wound care / ulcer care/Doppler Removal of Sutures New Patient Medicals/Urinalysis Travel Clinic ECGs Asthma/Peak/Flow Readings/Spirometry Venipuncture Hypertension Management Ear syringing Routine immunizations/Childhood immunisations Chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate who are being examined by another clinician Requesting pathology tests, for example urine culture, swabs Following agreed clinical protocols with referral to senior nurses or GPs as appropriate
Other tasks may include

Maintaining and cleaning equipment used by the nurses and GPs Maintaining GP and Nurses rooms, stocking and rotating items as required Maintain general tidiness and cleanliness of nurses and treatment rooms Maintain stock of waiting room leaflets as instructed by partners and practice manager Ordering of stock from the District Hospital Ordering of vaccinations to maintain stock levels
