Practitioner Psychologist (Part-Time - 3 Days)



Location: Preston (Hybrid with Travel)



Salary: Up to 63,000 per annum (Pro Rata, Dependent on Experience)





We are currently supporting a leading provider of specialist care and education services in their search for a

HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist

to join their clinical team in the

Preston

area. This is a

part-time

permanent role (22.5 hours per week) offering a hybrid working model with

some travel required

to services in and around Preston.



The service provides care and education for

children and young people

with a range of complex needs, including trauma, neurodiversity, SEMH, and learning disabilities. You will join a multidisciplinary team of clinicians working to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed psychological services within residential and educational settings.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions for young people. Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, supporting staff through consultation and training. Contribute to service development and the clinical strategy for your region. Offer reflective practice and supervision to assistant psychologists or therapy staff as appropriate. Engage in regular CPD, audits, and research activities in line with service goals.
Candidate Requirements:
Doctorate in Clinical, Counselling, Educational or Forensic Psychology. HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist (essential). Experience working with children and young people in clinical or educational settings. A sound understanding of trauma-informed and neurodevelopmental approaches. UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to local sites.
