Job description
We are looking for a passionate and caring early years / forest school practitioner. You will act as a key worker within our setting working closely as part of the team under the direction of the manager to provide safe, inspiring, high quality care and education.
Main Roles
Promote our forest school ethos with a learner-centered approach
Promote high standards of quality within the Kindergarten in respect of the environment, resources and experiences offered to children.
Assist with the planning of the curriculum using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) for guidance.
Plan and set up inspiring daily activities and hands on learning experiences offering an appropriate level of support and stimulating play opportunities.
Act as a key person to a small group of children, liaising closely and building an effective relationship with parents/carers and ensuring each child's needs are recognised and met.
Ensure that children are kept safe and that you understand when to follow child protection procedures.
Support meal times within the setting.
Actively participate at team meetings, planning meetings and appraisal meetings.
Attend training courses as required and to take responsibility for personal development.
Be aware of and adhere to all the setting's operational policies and procedures.

Person Specification
Essential criteria:
Level 3 early years education and childcare qualification or equivalent.
Passion for nature and outdoor education
Previous experience of working with children from 2 to 5 years.
Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
A commitment to continuously promote a culture of safeguarding.
Desirable criteria:
Level 3 Forest School Practitioner
Willingness to undertake further training or qualifications.
Paediatric first aid qualification.
