About the role
To work under the guidance of the Pre-school Manager to support learning, including support for specific named children
To provide general support to the Pre-school Manager in the management and organisation of the pupils and the classroom, and specifically for named children
To assist the Pre-school Manager in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment
To promote the inclusion of all pupils ensuring they have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop (including working 1:1 to support children with special educational needs)
To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school
To lead the running of the Preschool in the absence of the Preschool Manager

About you
Essential
Relevant Level 3 qualification or better
A good level of secondary education including Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
Experience of working in a Pre-school as a member of staff or volunteer
Experience of working alongside individual or groups of children
Excellent attendance and punctuality
Desirable
Evidence of participation in school or setting based training and development
Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs
Qualification in Paediatric First Aid
