We are looking for a proactive

Pre Wire Production Engineer

to join our Rail Infrastructure business based at our Chippenham location. In this role, you will support the manufacturing team with pre-wiring installations, ensuring all production processes meet the highest quality standards, while maintaining efficiency. You will play a key role in planning and designing engineering drawings and converting these into detailed operating procedures and instructions for the shop floor.



You will work closely with the Pre Wire Team Leader so will be expected to fully integrate with the existing team and also have the ability to work independently.

You'll make an impact by

Assisting production to ensure the manufacturing processes are efficient and streamlined Completing engineering tasks to assist the manufacturing teams Effectively planning and prioritising workloads as and when needed Creating and developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in collaboration with the shop floor supervisor Actively contributing to ongoing continuous improvement of company processes and practices Accurately completing and maintaining engineering documentation and other records in line with businesses needs

Your success will be grounded by

An engineering qualification i.e HND or degree level Highly computer literate Extensive knowledge and experience of wiring installation with competency of wiring to IPC-A-620 or equivalent (desirable) A good understanding of engineering documentation A strong focus on continuous improvement for processes and practices Experience of handling bills and materials in a railway, automotive, defence background (desirable)
