to support undergraduate teaching activities within Primary Care. The role provides administrative support across Years 1-3 teaching, events, assessments, and course coordination, working closely with academic staff, tutors, students, and external partners.
The position is set to commence ASAP and will be Part Time, 2 days per week.
You must be able to work both Tuesdays and Thursdays for this role.
The assignment will be for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of 16.92 per hour + holiday pay
Key Duties:
Organise the Learning with Patientscourses for Years 1-3, including liaising with students, GP tutors, colleges and pre-clinical schools, booking rooms, preparing materials, updating Canvas and NHS ePortfolio, supporting tutor recruitment, arranging payments, and collating tutor reports and student feedback
Provide administrative support to the Academic Lead for Undergraduate Years 1-3, including support for Year 3 research projects, website updates with the Communications Team, and liaison with administrative colleagues across the department
Support the organisation of the annual Career Pathways to Academic Primary Careconference, including venue booking, catering, equipment, speakers, attendee management and query handling
Support wider Undergraduate Teaching Group activities, including organisation of formative OSCEs, the annual GP Tutor conference, and maintaining accurate records
Maintain student, tutor and practice records in line with GDPR requirements
Provide cover for colleagues during periods of absence and support team priorities as required
Attend Undergraduate Education Committee and related meetings and contribute to minute taking
Selection Criteria:
Educated to A level or equivalent, or with equivalent professional experience
Excellent administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work calmly and effectively in a busy, service-oriented environment
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently using initiative, as well as collaboratively within a team
Positive, flexible and proactive approach with a friendly manner
Strong IT skills, including email, Microsoft Office, databases, websites, and virtual learning environments
