Job Summary:


The pre-construction information manager is responsible for compiling and managing the pre-construction information (site information), ensuring the pre-construction information is adequately classified, distributed, maintained and issued to the subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate all project-related information during the pre-construction phase to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with standards. Develop and implement information management strategies aligned with project requirements and industry standards such as ISO 19650. Collaborate with design, engineering, and construction teams to establish efficient workflows and ensure seamless data exchange across stakeholders. Ensure that all project data is correctly classified, stored, and maintained within the Common Data Environment (CDE). Review and audit information models for quality assurance, ensuring consistency, integrity, and compliance. Train and guide project teams on best practices for information management, BIM standards, and data workflows. Support the development of pre-construction deliverables, including BIM Execution Plans (BEP), information requirements, and project-specific procedures. Stay up to date with developments in information management, BIM technologies, and industry innovations. Assists the Document Control Manager in managing the registration, receipt, distribution and issue of all pre-construction information, as well as implementing and maintaining procedures for the production, issuing and registering of all pre-construction documentation. Typically, this includes, collating all documents including drawings, keeping a record of document status, liaising with project personnel and chasing outstanding information. Support supply chain in applying information processes. Support the DCM in providing training to the Mace Dragados team and supply chain.

Project Specific:*
Familiarised with technical and graphical information, including utilities, ground/geotechnical reports, surveys and topographical information Demonstrates skills to classify and manage technical and graphical information

Technical skills and Competencies:

Good knowledge of Document Control systems in a multi-discipline project Knowledge of data management Ability to apply IT systems relevant to Document Control.( Enterprise Bridge, ProjectWise and SharePoint, Aconex, others) Competence in the use of Microsoft Office applications Knowledge of bulk scanning and scanning systems

Qualifications, Certifications and Experience:

Minimum 2 years' experience of document control Past experience of construction projects A formal qualification in data management Knowledge of the Document Control process in accordance with ISO 9001. Knowledge of the Information Management process in accordance with BS 1192:2007.
