Pre-Construction Manager

to join our growing team in the

North West region

, helping to shape and deliver innovative, safe, and sustainable rail solutions.





You'll be working on.... (what your role and responsibility is)



As a Pre-Construction Manager, you will lead the early-stage development of complex rail projects from client remit through to contract award. Your responsibilities will include:


Managing NEC3 Professional Services Contracts. Leading site investigations, design coordination (permanent and temporary works), and construction methodology planning. Collaborating with designers, suppliers, and internal teams to develop value-driven, buildable solutions. Ensuring all necessary consents, estimates, and governance are in place before handover to delivery teams. Driving safety, quality, and sustainability throughout the pre-construction phase.

About you.... (what you are skilled at)


Proven experience in pre-construction or project management within the rail or infrastructure sector. Strong understanding of NEC contracts and multi-disciplinary project development. Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, and commercial awareness. A collaborative mindset and commitment to delivering high-quality, customer-focused outcomes.




You'll bring... (your wealth of experience & qualifications)


A related degree, diploma, or vocational qualification, or equivalent demonstrable experience in Construction or Civil Engineering. Site Managers Safety Training Scheme, or equivalent CDM 2015 training (desirable). Chartered membership with a relevant industry body (i.e. APM or ICE) (desirable). Temporary Works Coordination (desirable).
