The Role



We are seeking an experienced

Pre-construction Manager

to join our team.

The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Lead all pre-construction activities from contract signing through mobilisation and provide ongoing support to the site team until project handover

Prepare and manage all pre-construction documentation, including Risk Assessments, RAMS, COSHH, CPP and toolbox talk materials

Coordinate and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) to resolve technical queries and planning clarifications ahead of project delivery

Ensure processes and documentations for each project comply with HSE, CDM 2015, building regs, fire safety, and environmental regulations

Work with internal and external design teams (where applicable) to align drawings with site conditions and budget

Create and maintain detailed construction programmes and Gantt charts

Maintain and build a reliable network of subcontractors and specialist vendors

Review subcontractor capabilities and ensure warranty, certification, and compliance standards

Manage site logistics planning, access strategy, and temporary works requirements

Conduct stakeholder briefings and ensure clear communication across all parties

Coordinate project start-up including surveys, mobilisation plans, and H&S briefings

Coordinate project feasibility checks including technical, financial, and regulatory requirements

Liaise effectively with internal departments and report project progress to executive management

Essential Skills:



Minimum 3-5 years' experience in pre-construction, site planning, or solar projects

Strong knowledge of construction health & safety and documentation requirements

Proven ability to manage multiple pre-construction programmes concurrently

Proficiency with project planning tools

Familiar with CDM 2015, ISO standards, and local planning procedures

Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills

SMSTS, NEBOSH, or equivalent qualification preferred

Valid CSCS card is desirable

A degree in relevant field is desirable

Other



Must be legally entitled to work in the UK and/or EU and be fluent in English.

Flexibility to travel to project sites in for onsite inspections when required.
