We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care, diagnosing visual problems, and prescribing corrective lenses. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and an understanding of the unique needs of various patient demographics, including seniors.
Duties
Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases.
Prescribe corrective lenses and provide recommendations for vision therapy when necessary.
Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the importance of regular eye examinations.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of examinations and treatments.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Stay updated with advancements in optometry practices and technologies.
Provide specialised care for senior patients, addressing their unique visual needs.
Skills
Strong patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' needs.
In-depth knowledge of anatomy related to the visual system and common ocular conditions.
Experience or knowledge in providing care specifically tailored for senior patients is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to patients and colleagues.
