Job Description

We have an opening for an unqualified Pre-school Assistant to work at a lovely village setting, under the direction of the Pre-school Leader and management committee. You will be working with a dedicated team in a caring, family friendly, characterful, and stimulating environment which is inviting to children, parents, and staff.

You'll support the pre-school team with day-to-day activities such as food preparation, washing up, tidying, cleaning, nappy changing, as well as assisting qualified staff, caring for the children.

While entry qualifications aren't necessary, there is potential for progression and training on the job in the future.

Main duties:

-To take part and support other practitioners in all aspects of the Pre School daily routine including registration time, snack time, toileting and cleaning.

-To work as part of the Pre-School team to ensure children enjoy their development and learning within a safe environment.

-To ensure that safeguarding children is integral to their work within the setting.

-To be aware of and adhere to all the setting's policies and procedures, e.g. safeguarding, health and safety, food hygiene etc.

-To work in a professional manner, be honest, reliable, enthusiastic, motivated, and meet the needs of the setting.

-The ability to form caring and trusting relationships with children and their families and ensure confidentiality at all times.

Starting salary: 11.21 per hour

Hours of work: Mon-Fri 9am-1pm, term time only.

Due to the nature of this role, candidates will be subject to UK eligibility checks together with DBS and all other relevant checks. Safeguarding children is paramount within our setting. If your application is successful, you will be invited for an in-depth interview. Any discrepancies in your application will be questioned. Candidates will need to provide suitable referees, one of which MUST be your current/most recent employee.

Temporary contract with potential to go permanent
