We are now seeking to recruit a Deputy Supervisor to work closely with our Supervisor to ensure these opportunities and our ethos are carried through each session.

This is a part-time opportunity for 3 or 4 days a week, and this must include a Friday.

Candidates should have a Level 3 Early Years qualification as a minimum. We are committed to staff development and encourage staff to continue with their professional development.

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

1. To help prepare long term, medium term and session plans which ensure that each child is working within the EYFS; to monitor the effectiveness of the Pre-school curriculum.

2. To assist with the setting up of Pre-school for the daily programme and to help tidy away at the end of the session. To tidy the kitchen, take home washing and do any shopping, on a rota basis.

3. To act as a Keyworker to a group of children, liaising closely with their parents/carers and ensuring each child's needs are recognised and met. To ensure that records of the child's development are kept and regularly updated.

4. To act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead

5. To advise the Pre-school Supervisor of any concerns e.g. over children, parents or the safety of equipment, preserving confidentiality as necessary.

6. To interact with children, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulation.

7. To attend weekly staff meetings and termly committee meetings when required. To conduct Keyworker meetings with parents/carers three times a year.

8. To attend in-service training courses and professional meetings as required.

9. To prepare materials such as play dough and laminated name labels, at home.

10. To make preliminary visits to Capel Primary School with groups of children as a means of assisting their transition to school, as necessary

11. To take over the responsibilities of the Pre School Supervisor in their absence to ensure the smooth running of the site at all times.
