Smart Kids Nursery in Digbeth, we are recruiting an

experienced Preschool Practitioner

to join our dedicated early years team. This role offers a

competitive hourly rate of 13 per hour

, reflecting proven experience, qualifications, and strong early years practice.

This position is ideal for a confident practitioner who is passionate about supporting children aged 3-5 years and preparing them for a smooth and successful transition to school.

About the Role:

As a Preschool Practitioner, you will:

Deliver high-quality early years education in line with the

EYFS framework

Plan and lead engaging, developmentally appropriate preschool activities Support children's learning, independence, and school readiness Complete observations, assessments, and progress tracking Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues Support transitions into school and next stages of learning Adhere to safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies

Essential Requirements:

Level 3 (or above) qualification in Childcare / Early Years

Proven experience working as a Preschool Practitioner

Strong understanding of the

EYFS and school readiness outcomes

Confident with planning, observations, and assessments Sound knowledge of

safeguarding and child protection procedures

Enhanced DBS

(or willingness to obtain one) Reliable, professional, and committed to high-quality practice

Desirable:

Paediatric First Aid qualification Experience supporting children with additional needs Ofsted inspection readiness or experience
