Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Practitioner to join our nurturing educational environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. This role involves creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating atmosphere for young children, fostering their development through play-based learning and structured activities. Our pre-school is open from 8.45-2.45, term time only. We will also consider job share if required.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Create a warm and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity. Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a positive learning experience for all children. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Observe and assess children's development, documenting milestones and achievements. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational programme and share best practices. Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the classroom. Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care at all times.

Requirements

A qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field is essential. Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a classroom effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for working with young children and fostering their development. Ability to create engaging learning experiences that cater to diverse learning styles. A commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all children.
