Job Overview


We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Practitioner to join our nurturing environment, where children can thrive and develop essential skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. As a Preschool Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in fostering a safe, engaging, and stimulating atmosphere that encourages learning through play.

Responsibilities



Develop and implement age-appropriate group times that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Create a warm and welcoming environment that encourages exploration and creativity. Encourage positive behaviour effectively to ensure a calm learning experience for all children. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and any concerns that may arise. Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive educational programme that meets the needs of all children. Maintain accurate records of children's development and progress. Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the setting. Provide supervision during outdoor playtime and other activities to ensure safety at all times.

Skills



Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to manage setting dynamics effectively, fostering a positive learning environment. Experience working with children in a nursery or preschool setting is highly desirable. Leadership qualities that inspire confidence in both children and colleagues. Ability to drive initiatives that enhance the educational experience for young learners. A compassionate approach to childcare, ensuring the well-being of each child is prioritised.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.25-14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
