Littlestones Pre School / After School Club - Immediate Start

Position: Senior Pre-school Practitioner / Afterschool Deputy

Hours: Term time only 12.00 to 6.00pm

Monday to Friday

Hourly rate: 13.25 up to 13.50ph depending on experience.

Preschool hours are from 12.00 -3.00, continuing into afterschool until 6.00pm. After School club collection is from our local infant and Junior School. This involves a short walk to the school with a member of our team to meet and greet the children and walk back to the setting. The After School Club is a safe place for the children to unwind after their day of learning, whilst ensuring we offer activities that will enrich their development. This would be a 30hpw contract for 38 weeks of the year plus 5.6 weeks holiday paid equally across 12 months.

We are looking for a fun, hardworking ,individual, Level 3 qualified in childcare, with good communication skills and a passion for working in a childcare setting. Helping our children to develop and grow through-out their time, with Littlestones Preschool and After school club.

The successful candidate will be:

An individual who can engage with all our children aged from 2 years-11 years
Qualified level 3 or above in childcare,
Working within a small team of practitioners, with children aged 2 years to 4 years old following the Early Years Framework.
Competent in documenting observations and creating Development plans.
Able to plan activities to extend each individual child learning.
Communicate with parent/careers on a daily basis.
Creative in spotting opportunities to plan activities and create a platform for individual growth.
Knowledge of the Early Years Framework is essential
First aid certificate essential
Willing to attend regular staff meetings
Please note that both Senco and Safeguarding certificate(s) would be desirable. Please list all certificates upon application.

The successful candidate will be subject to the following:

u A DBS check (

cost settled by Littlestones )

u Providing two satisfactory references.

u Agreeing to attend First aid and Safeguarding refresher courses within accordance to best practice (

cost settled by Littlestones ).

Pay: 13.25-13.50 per hour
