About Us
We're a modern, AI-enabled PLC delivering NHS and private clinical services with a strong remote care capability. You'll join a supportive, forward-thinking team building accessible, tech-driven pathways that meet the highest clinical and regulatory standards.
The Opportunity
As
Prescribing Lead / Clinical Lead
, you will set clinical standards and oversee safe, effective prescribing for our weight-management service (including tirzepatide) within a remote/hybrid model. You'll lead on protocol design, quality, training and audit, while also delivering patient consultations (mainly scheduled clinical reviews and screening). The service will soon expand to include a
prescribing clinic
; you'll help shape and scale that model.
What You'll Do
Clinical leadership & governance
Own and maintain the weight-management clinical protocol (initiation, titration, monitoring, continuation/stop rules), aligned to national guidance; chair case reviews and drive continuous improvement.
Hold accountability for prescriber credentialing, scope of practice, peer review and supervision across the team.
Remote-prescribing quality & compliance
Ensure two-way consultations (video preferred for initiation), independent verification of height/weight/BMI, and robust documentation--no questionnaire-only pathways for high-risk weight-loss medicines.
Embed GP-liaison (with consent) at initiation/dose changes/cessation; record rationale if information-sharing is declined.
Oversee safeguarding, red-flag escalation (e.g., suspected pancreatitis, dehydration/AKI, pregnancy), and continuity/referral pathways.
Risk, audit & inspection readiness
Maintain the live risk register and controls for remote weight-management prescribing; lead monthly audits (verification compliance, eligibility, AE capture, GP letters).
Keep an inspection-ready evidence pack (consultation logs, verification records, PV/Yellow Card reporting, temperature logs, marketing approvals).
Service operations & continuity
Work with RP/dispensing to uphold safe supply (label accuracy, strength/dose checks, courier/cold-chain where applicable).
Lead clinical decision-making during outages (tele-consult/e-prescribing/payment), applying "pause supply safely" guardrails and structured recovery checks.
Training & people
Deliver induction and ongoing training across remote consultation skills, pharmacovigilance, data verification and advertising compliance; own the training matrix and 6-monthly re-validation.
Advertising & information governance
Enforce "service-led, not POM-led" content (no public POM promotion/images/prices) with a clear pre-publication checklist and approvals log.
Uphold DPIA, privacy, access controls and secure handling of images/videos used for ID/BMI verification - working closely with Data Protection Officer.
Your Clinical Practice (hands-on)
Run remote/hybrid clinics across: weight-management consultations, clinical screening, dose titration, and monthly reviews with verified weight capture.
Apply continuation rules (e.g., <5% weight loss at ~6 months on highest tolerated dose ? shared decision to continue/pause/stop).
Provide NHS National Enhanced Services (e.g., Pharmacy First) and PGD-based services (weight management, travel health, lifestyle & prevention) as needed. (Scope can flex with service demand.)*

Notes on our clinical & governance model (for candidates)
Our remote-prescribing guideline (tirzepatide) sets out dosing, verification, monitoring cadence, and continuation thresholds; we require independent BMI/weight verification and two-way consultations for initiations.
Clinical governance is mapped to GPhC Standards and includes a formal RACI, incident/complaint handling, KPI dashboard, and a rolling QI plan.
A dedicated risk framework governs remote tirzepatide prescribing (identity, verification, safeguarding, advertising, supply chain, PV), with inspection-ready evidence items.
Our business-continuity plan defines outage triggers, pause-supply rules and recovery checks to protect patients.
A readiness checklist helps us stay inspection-ready across regulators, SOPs, IG and training.
