Role
An essential position within the team, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the fast-moving, in-house press office for Academy Music Group's nationwide venues and promoting division, Academy Events.

About You
Competencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in a PR role in music, media, culture, or entertainment
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Strong coordinator of project teams and stakeholder groups
  • A solid network of media connections and established PR relationships
  • Excellent knowledge of key UK media and digital platforms
  • An understanding of PR processes and accreditation systems
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Professional and confident telephone manner
  • Strong organisation and time management with the ability to multitask across our venues
  • Exceptional attention to detail and sharp reporting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint

What the role includes
  • Work directly with the Press Office team on all day-to-day activity
  • Maintain, check and distribute media listings (weekly)
  • Coordinate daily press coverage and media reports
  • Monitor and prioritise media enquiries
  • Maximise media exposure of events promoted by Academy Events and generate
  • publicity across media outlets
  • Build professional relationships with key editorial contacts and influencers
  • Maintain media databases (TV/radio/print/online/student/social)
  • Organise, maintain and distribute media assets and press materials
  • Effectively write and distribute press releases and biographies
  • Manage campaigns, including PR planning and pitching to media outlets, organising
  • interviews and media coverage to full execution
  • Maintain press kits for internal and external use as directed
  • Organise and manage content creators across all venues
  • Write concise media messages for digital channels and social media
  • Attend and organise meetings and media events when necessary
