to join our production team. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this role plays a key part in the accurate forming and shaping of sheet metal components. The position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on experience with sheet metal, and a commitment to quality and precision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience in fabrication, grinding, or welding would be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Set up, adjust, and operate press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal in line with technical specifications.
Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate production (training available if required).
Carry out routine equipment checks, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting using mechanical knowledge.
Assemble components using hand tools, welding techniques, and other fabrication methods.
Apply basic mathematical calculations to achieve accurate measurements and tolerances.
Conduct quality checks on finished parts to ensure high manufacturing standards are maintained.
Work closely with colleagues to meet production schedules while adhering to health and safety procedures.
Required Skills & Experience
Practical experience operating CNC machinery, with a strong focus on press brake setup and operation.
Competence in manual processes such as drilling and tapping.
Familiarity with hand tools, tooling, and mechanical equipment.
Good attention to detail and a quality-driven approach.
