Overview

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to accurately bend sheet metal components according to specifications. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in fabrication and mechanical processes to contribute to high-quality production within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Following part set up sheets and customer work schedules. Operating machines to bend steel to specific angles using press tooling for heavy duty parts. Using hand tools such as pin grinders/ angle grinders. Completion of daily operation, TPM (total preventative/ production maintenance) and pre-operation check sheets. Completing tasks by use of engineering drawings. Inspect quality of parts to maintain high standards and completion of first off checks. Inspect all equipment to ensure it's in a safe working condition. Carry out adjustments using CNC programmes.

Qualifications

Previous experience using 300 - 400 tonne press machines would be beneficial but not essential. Previous experience using bend templates and an understanding of bend radius' would be beneficial but not essential. Previous experience working within the manufacturing sector is beneficial but not essential. Previous experience using engineering drawings would be beneficial but not essential. You are also given comprehensive training once you commence employment.

Salary

12.37 - 14.43 per hour (+ shift allowance).

Hours

Hours: 37 hours per week (3 weekly shift rotation: day shift, back shift and night shift)
