Overview

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Setter/Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend and shape metal components according to specifications. This role requires a keen eye for detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work with precision in a fast-paced environment. Experience is required and this is not an operators job solely. Some experience in writing programmes etc is required for this role.

Duties

Set up and operate press brake machinery to produce high-quality metal parts. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine the correct bending processes. Use hand tools and tooling effectively to ensure accurate fabrication of components. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation. Grind, weld, assemble, and fabricate metal parts as required by production needs. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and improve efficiency.

Skills

Proficient in using hand tools and tooling relevant to metal fabrication. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand machine operations. Basic mathmatical skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately. Experience with sheet metal fabrication processes is highly desirable. Ability to grind, weld, assemble, and fabricate components as needed. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 15.00-17.00 per hour
