We're on the lookout for our next Press Office intern! You will assist the Press Team with the day-to-day running of the department and be responsible for sample coordination for Paul Smith collections, ensuring all clothes and accessories are sent out and returned promptly. Oversee the general upkeep of the Showrooms to ensure that they are kept clean, tidy and well merchandised for all Press appointments and external visitors. Assist the Sample Coordinator on all internal sample related needs of the business.

The Role



To be responsible for handling all sample returns after press shoots and VIP loans ensuring every item is returned in the correct condition and by the relevant due date.

To support the Press Team with day-to-day sample trafficking duties including; send outs of samples domestically and internationally, liaising the team as necessary and handling call-backs of outstanding samples.

To work with the Sample Coordinator to support on internal sample needs of the business across the departments.

To ensure that the showrooms are kept to a highly presentable condition. This will include; hanging and steaming garments, merchandising the showroom space and maintaining its clean and tidy appearance.

To collect and return retail shop stock as directed by the Press & VIP team.

To answer incoming calls for the department and ensure all enquiries are responded to and dealt with promptly. Requests may include price requests, image requests, organisation of returns and coordinating last minute call ins of samples.

To assist the Press & VIP Officer with the production of reports, organisation of events, shows and projects as required.

To support with general administrative duties such as; distributing post, photocopying, and ordering stationary for the department.

To support on Paul Smith events as and when needed.

Your Skills and Experience



Currently studying towards or have previously completed a degree in Public Relations or related subject would be desirable.

Previous experience of sample management and collating information.

Demonstrated administration experience in a busy office.

Advanced user of Microsoft Office suite.

General knowledge of press within the fashion industry; UK and International is preferred.

Systematic and methodical approach.

Interest and knowledge of the press market, current trends and media.

Flexible over working hours.

Able to work from our London office in Covent Garden.
