Role Purpose:




Within Commercial Excellence we provide best-in-class support to both internal stakeholders and external customers. This role is responsible for delivering all aspects of the pricing functions from the end-to-end price setups (pricing cycle) to price query management, issuing Customer Price Reports and analysing pricing to inform strategic decisions and optimise profitability.

Key areas of responsibility:



Manage annual list price review including co-ordination of field-based activities and customer communication and impact on pricing set ups New Product Introduction (NPI) pricing set up. Working in close collaboration with Surgery Marketing teams Manage, in collaboration with BI, the secondary discount system to allow framework pricing to be correctly reflected in management information systems. Participate in both UK and EMEA pricing initiatives Provide monthly/Quarterly commentary on pricing performance for UK and EMEA insights Own pricing forecasts for both current and future years, liaising with Commex Lead, Finance and Business Unit Leadership on how commercial strategies impact pricing performance and SGP outcomes Develop and build pricing related dashboards in conjunction with the Business Intelligence team Provide analytics and insight to the leadership team on price to enable strategic decision making and price optimisation Lead monthly contract compliance calls with the commercial teams to identify customers not meeting contractual spend requirements and align on remedial action required Ensure full compliance with the pricing cycle, from request instigation through to completion and issuing of customer price reports Implement the GTM pricing strategy within all price offers to customers ensuring pricing models are aligned to commercial frameworks, in line with SOP's and SOX compliance Train new starts and other business functions (sales, marketing and commercial) with pricing principles Create, and adopt SOPs for each stage of the pricing cycle which should be developed in conjunction with the Commercial Excellence Controller and strive for pricing excellence Remit includes pricing for tender submissions, pricing agreements, proposals, addendums & producing one-off quotes as required Co-ordinate & produce annual pricing catalogues as required Ensure all Nexus Catalogues for Supplier/Hub or trust managed arrangements are delivered (PDT) Manage and develop the pricing specialists within the team (TBC - candidate dependent)

Strong relationships to be formed with Commercial, Product/Marketing and Sales teams Liaise as required with other departments such as Regulatory, Legal and Finance Collaborate with other Team Mangers within the Contracting function particularly the Tender Manager and Price Compliance Manager Maintain strong customer relationships including any 3rd Party representatives Maintain strong working relationships with the local/EMEA Price Data Teams

Requirements:



Office based role (Leeds One/Pinewood) Occasional travel to other JNJ office locations including overnight stay as required As appropriate, the individuals will need to provide cover across the wider Medtech business Must be able to work flexibly as required to meet business needs and changes in circumstances Line Management of the pricing specialist (TBC - candidate dependent)

Skills and competencies required:



Good understanding of commercial and pricing strategies Competent in all aspects of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access etc.) with advanced ability in Excel High attention to detail and numeric Excellent communication skills as daily communication with customers, directors, sales force, and other line managers - through multiple medias

Education & Experience Required:



Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant business orientated subject Experience using JDE or SAP Knowledge of EU Legislation regarding procurement is beneficial Experience with data analytic tools (SQL, Tableau, Power BI) is beneficial
