Acquisition

Team, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering and optimising 45m worth of acquisition pricing, ensuring commercial success, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth.


The Opportunity





You'll be working at the heart of the RAC's commercial engine, deputising for the Director of Pricing and Value on all acquisition-related matters and collaborating with senior stakeholders to influence and deliver core financial objectives. You'll lead a team, deliver on complex pricing initiatives, and ensure compliance with FCA regulations -- all while supporting RAC's journey to become a market leader in roadside assistance and beyond.

Acquisition pricing delivers growth in profitability and market leadership. Pricing outcomes remain compliant and aligned with regulatory expectations. Effective stakeholder relationships and strong governance through Product & Pricing Forum. Development of a high-performing, insight-driven team supporting wider commercial success.

Key Responsibilities




Lead the delivery of acquisition pricing strategy, ensuring performance against revenue, sales volume, usage, and LTV targets across multiple products and distribution channels. Deputise for the Director of Pricing and Value on acquisition matters, representing pricing strategy at senior meetings and forums. Work collaboratively with senior leaders including the Director of Pricing & Value, Head of Technical Pricing, Acquisition Director, and Finance Director to shape and agree annual acquisition budgets. Translate strategic plans into optimised pricing models, working closely with marketing, digital and technical pricing teams. Lead the execution of critical pricing initiatives and regulatory responses, including FCA updates and Financial Ombudsman Service interactions. Conduct advanced statistical and actuarial analysis to support Risk-Based Pricing decisions. Develop and enhance pricing governance and capabilities, ensuring all decisions meet regulatory compliance and internal governance standards. Manage and mentor a high-performing team of analysts delivering actionable, timely insights to drive growth. Own pricing for non-Core areas such as Pay-on-Use (POU) and Non-Member Breakdown offerings. Drive continual improvement through forecasting, variance analysis and optimisation software tools.



What We're Looking For





You're a highly analytical, commercially minded leader with a proven ability to navigate complexity, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver results. You bring the technical know-how, strategic vision, and people leadership to make a meaningful impact.




Essential Skills and Experience




Extensive experience in pricing (Finance, Insurance, Banking, or similar). Strong knowledge of

pricing and analytical techniques

, forecasting, and budget planning. Experience of delivering complex, cross-functional programmes and strategic plans. Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills, with proven ability to engage at Executive and regulatory levels. Familiarity with

actuarial/statistical modelling

tools (e.g. Emblem, R, Python) and pricing optimisation software (e.g. Earnix, Radar) advantageous. Strong financial acumen and ability to build credible business cases. Experience managing professional teams and influencing cross-functional collaboration.



Qualifications




A degree in a numerate discipline. Progress towards a professional qualification (CII, FIA, MBA or equivalent) desirable.
