Pricing Manager - Northampton - \xc2\xa355,000 - \xc2\xa365,000

Chase & Holland are excited to be working with a large, highly reputable FTSE 100 business who are looking to recruit dynamic Pricing Manager. This is a key role with the responsibility for developing and implementing pricing strategies for the company\'s products. The Pricing Manager will have a good understanding of the cost input pressures facing the business and drive actions through the Commercial teams to ensure appropriate pricing action is taken. You will drive a review of competitor prices to ensure price positioning remains relevant and competitive. The role involves working closely with the Commercial Management team as well as key stakeholders in the Trade and Supply divisions.

It is a great role for a dynamic, proactive person, with a strong background in analysing large amounts of data, providing insight and communicating this to key stakeholders across a large business. Responsibilities:
  • Lead the financial evaluation of all promotional activities, assessing the return on investment and recommending actions to strengthen future plans
  • Lead others in their understanding of pricing, giving guidance on methodology and effect.
  • Analysing the effects of pricing and discount adjustments
  • Lead and direct pricing strategy creation and taking pricing actions required to enhance profitability
  • Develop and define pricing structures, including integrating new products into the structure
  • Manage pricing analysis to ensure products stay ahead of the competition
  • Competitive intelligence gathering, including using various price scraping tools
  • Evaluate trends and identify target markets to generate revenue
  • Lead the year end price increase process utilising new standard and transfer costs, including regular monitoring of price increase movement
  • Champion commercial and trade meetings to ensure the operational pricing issues are resolved
  • Deliver insight to the wider business to ensure decisions and supported with strong technical analysis
  • Occasional travel to head office for meetings
Required Skills and Experience:
  • A driven qualified or part qualified accountant with a proven background in an analytical, commercial environment
  • Analysing large amounts of relevant data, ensuring data integrity through exceptional reporting
  • Strong project management skills and ability to deliver to deadlines
  • Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage data and draw out insight and key messages
  • Extensive commercial finance experience with medium to large sized retail or consumer goods business
  • You will have a hands-on and structured approach - be enthusiastic and have a passion for true business partnering
  • Change management or continuous improvement mentality
  • You must be IT literate, specifically on excel and business objects or similar reporting tools
