Are you a detail-oriented and analytical professional with a strong background in pricing within the freight forwarding industry? We have an exciting opportunity for you! Our client, a leading UK freight forwarder offering multimodal operations, customs, and 3PL services, is seeking two Pricing Specialists to join their head office located at Manchester Airport.

Role Overview:

As a Pricing Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately and competitively pricing services to ensure the company\xe2\x80\x99s profitability and market competitiveness. Working closely with the commercial team, you will analyse customer requirements, evaluate costs, and develop pricing strategies that align with the company\xe2\x80\x99s business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse customer inquiries and requests for proposals to determine pricing requirements and feasibility.
• Evaluate costs, including transportation, warehousing, customs duties, and other relevant expenses, to develop competitive pricing strategies.
• Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to understand customer needs and develop customized pricing solutions.
• Prepare and submit accurate and timely pricing quotations and proposals to potential and existing clients.
• Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to ensure pricing remains competitive and aligned with industry standards.
• Monitor pricing performance, analysing profitability and market share, and make recommendations for adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain pricing databases and systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
• Collaborate with the finance team to review and validate pricing calculations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Support pricing negotiations with customers, working closely with the sales team to secure profitable contracts.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and market dynamics that may impact pricing strategies.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
