This site operates day time hours, however requires the team to work some occasional evenings during peak times.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while assisting in the daily operations of our cafe. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about food and hospitality, and who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Provide outstanding customer service by welcoming and assisting customers with their orders. Prepare food items according to established recipes and ensure high standards of food safety and hygiene. Assist in catering events, ensuring that all food and beverage needs are met efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe, including dining areas, kitchen, and storage spaces. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including food preparation tools and bartending equipment when necessary. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a cafe, restaurant, or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. A team player who can work collaboratively in a busy environment. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed. A passion for helping others and providing excellent service.
