Connex Education is currently seeking a kind and enthusiastic ECT to work on a supply basis within our fantastic primary schools in Derby city. Working as a supply teacher is an excellent way to gain experience within a range of different schools and classrooms, which will enable you to develop a broad range of teaching styles and techniques.

The role is very flexible, with work available across all primary key stages and the chance to work full-time, part-time or casual hours. As we are a training provider as well as an education staffing provider, we can also offer you access to ongoing CPD and training opportunities, which will support your professional development and help you to become a more effective and confident teacher.

As the ideal candidate, you will have:

• Essential \xe2\x80\x93 a relevant teaching qualification such as PGCE, B.Ed or BA Hons, with QTS or equivalent
• Recent experience relevant to your preferred age range.
• A sound understanding of how to plan and teach lessons, according to the requirements of the National Curriculum.
• Experience in differentiating lesson plans for low and high ability learners
• The ability to rapidly build relationships with students, teachers, and colleagues
• Strong classroom management skills
• A commitment to raising school standards through high-quality teaching.
