If you're confident teaching Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 Maths and want to make a real difference in children's education, we'd love to hear from you!
Your Role:
Deliver engaging, in-person Maths tutoring sessions for Primary School students
Create supportive and enjoyable learning experiences aligned with the Northern Ireland Curriculum
Track student progress and tailor your approach to their individual needs
Work closely with parents and fellow tutors to support each child's success
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree (in any field)
At least 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience
Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 and 2 Maths curriculum in Northern Ireland
Genuine enthusiasm for teaching and helping children learn
Excellent communication skills and a caring, approachable attitude
Reliable, professional, and committed to making a positive impact
Preferred:
Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS)
Experience working with children who have additional learning needs
What to Expect:
A short teaching demonstration is part of the application process
Must be willing to commit to the role for at least one year
All sessions are conducted in person
This is a self-employed position
Key Details:
Pay: 18-30 per hour (varies based on session type--one-to-one, group, home visits, or at the Carrickfergus Hub)
Hours: 4-25 hours per week (flexible schedule)
Schedule: Weekdays and weekends available
Requirements: UK bank account, right to work in Northern Ireland, and an enhanced AccessNI check (or willingness to obtain one)
