Are you passionate about working with children and young people? Do you believe in the power of early mental health support and trauma-responsive education?

At Oasis Community Learning, one of the UK's largest and most inclusive multi-academy trusts, we're on a mission to nurture every child's potential: mind, heart, and spirit. We're now looking for a committed Primary Mental Health Practitioner to support a cluster of academies across the North East. You'll be joining an award-winning team who are at the forefront of innovative mental health support across education.

Whether you come from a clinical, educational, or youth work background, if you have the skills and compassion to support the mental health of primary and secondary pupils, this could be your next big step.

What We Offer

A vibrant, values-driven and trauma-informed trust culture. Access to high-quality CPD, including a Diploma in Trauma-Informed Practice and opportunities to contribute to national research and present at conferences. Supportive leadership and a team that genuinely values collaboration and wellbeing. A comprehensive induction and ongoing training, tailored to your professional growth. Clear career progression pathways across our national network of academies. Opportunities to present at national conferences and contribute to research. Employee well-being services, including access to free counselling and mental health resources. Generous family-friendly policies, with enhanced maternity, paternity, and adoption leave. Defined benefit pension scheme (Local Government or Teachers' Pension Scheme).

What You'll Do

Deliver evidence-based 1:1 and group therapeutic interventions to pupils and families. Provide consultation, supervision, and training to education staff. Facilitate parent/carer programmes (including Oasis Encounter/NVR). Collaborate with CAMHS, Children's Social Care, and community partners. Support a whole-school approach to mental health across multiple settings. Act as a key player in early identification, triage, and safeguarding support.

At Oasis, we're not just offering jobs, we're building purposeful careers within a values-led organisation committed to equity, inclusion, and staff well-being. Joining Oasis means becoming part of a passionate, supportive, and award-winning team that is transforming the lives of children and young people across the country.
