We are seeking a hardworking, conscientious, and well-organised School Site Supervisor to work across two primary school sites. The primary focus of this role is cleaning, ensuring consistently high standards of cleanliness across both schools. The post holder will also support site security and undertake general maintenance duties when required, helping to ensure the schools remain safe, secure, and welcoming environments for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Winmarleigh Primary School
Winmarleigh, near Garstang, PR3 0LA
Woodplumpton St Anne's Primary School
Woodplumpton, Preston, PR4 0NE
Working Hours and Pay:
Hours:
20 hours per week
Pay:
14.00 per hour
Contract: Pro Rata
42-weeks per annum
39 week term time / 3 week deep clean summer ( both schools )
Annual Leave:
Must be taken during periods of school closure only
Working Pattern:
One shift (Monday to Friday)
Afternoon Shifts
:
Winmarleigh Primary School 3:30 PM - 5.30 PM
Woodplumpton Primary School 6.00PM to 8.00PM
Pay per school:
14.00 per hour - Winmarleigh Primary School (10 hours per week)
14.00 per hour - Woodplumpton St Anne's Primary School (10 hours per week)
Please note: You must be a car driver, as both sites are not accessible by public transport
Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning & Site Care
Carry out cleaning duties across both school sites
Replenish and order cleaning and site stock
Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of indoor and outdoor areas
Security
Unlock and lock school premises during school hours
Activate and deactivate alarm systems as required
Health, Safety & Compliance
Undertake and record routine checks, including:
Play equipment
Fire alarms
Emergency lighting
Water testing
Ladders and fire extinguishers
Record checks in on-site Maintenance Record Books and report any issues
Maintenance & Repairs
Carry out general handyperson duties (non-specialist), including:
Minor repairs and remedial works
Fixing taps and cisterns
Fitting shelves and notice boards
Maintain toilet facilities and deal with blocked toilets or drains
External Areas
Ensure outside areas are safe and tidy
Keep drains clear of obstructions
Maintain safe pedestrian access, including:
Leaf and moss clearance
Gritting and snow clearance during severe weather
Additional Duties
General porterage as required
Any other reasonable tasks requested by the Bursar or Head Teacher
Health & Safety
Comply with Health & Safety at Work regulations
Follow COSHH and lone working guidelines
Some lifting required
Report hazards immediately to senior staff
Essential Criteria
Ability to carry out compliance checks (training provided)
Prior cleaning or maintenance experience desirable but not essential
Enthusiastic, proactive, and reliable
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong time-management skills
Willingness to undertake online training when required
Safeguarding & DBS
The successful candidate must hold a current enhanced DBS certificate or be registered on the update service
Applicants without a DBS will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check
